Synopsis:
The journey of pregnancy brings hope, joy, and love for the expecting mother. The hope of giving birth to a new life. The joy of feeling this new life grow inside of her. The love that starts with a test that doesn’t ever end. Dreams for the unborn child flood the new mother’s mind, as well as those around her. Each step of the pregnancy is a cherished moment. The anticipation of meeting her cherished baby builds from the very first month and ends after birth.

This is the story of one mother and how a few words changed her life forever. How a piece of her faded when she heard these words: “There’s no heartbeat.” When RaeBeth Buda laid in the hospital in labor, she and her husband heard those dreaded words.

What happens when all of those dreams are shattered in a moment’s notice? How does one cope with the loss of their child? This is the story of their journey and of the devastating grief of the loss of her daughter, Dakota Emily Buda.

What do Authors want from Book Tours?

Book tours is one term that if you are an avid reader, you’ve heard a lot. But what exactly do the authors want out of them? Book tours are one great way to promote an authors work. Authors and bloggers work together to put on a book tour. Most of the time a book tour will include book reviews, guest posts on various blogs, interviews, vlogs, radio shows, giveaways, and more. Most of the time authors elect to do a book tour for the launch of a new book or another way to get the word out about a previously published book. There are tour companies out there that offer to put them together for authors or they can organize them on their own.

As an author, I do my own. If I can save a penny, I will. Yes, when putting them together it’s hard work, but in the end they are really fun. The main reason I choose to do book tours is for the reach out of new readers. Each one of my books carry a message. The more blogs who support and host my tours, the more likely it is for my books to be noticed.
I do offer giveaways on some of my tours, however I don’t think it’s a must. I think offering prizes during the tour adds in more excitement for the readers, but you don’t want to over do it by coming off as “buying” your readers.

Another thing I hope to get out of the tour is another blogger friend. I look forward to working with each blogger. They do so much for authors and most of the time, they get nothing in return. While some authors may offer ebooks as a thank you, not all do.

I love getting to know new readers along the tour. The reach I wouldn’t normally get on my own is expanded within the tour. Without the readers, authors wouldn’t survive. Therefore, I always think of them when planning. At each stop, I try to do something different. I have seen on many book tours, where the blogs pretty much post the same thing. I think this gets boring after seeing it so many times.

As a reader, what is your favorite thing about book tours?

As an author, what do you hope to get out of a book tour?

Note from the Author

I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for following along with a very special book tour for me. Out of all the tours I have been on, this one has meant the most to me. I want to thank each blogger who joined in and provided their own review of my book. Each one of you will always be in my heart and prayers. I truly appreciate everything you all have done. Below you will find the list of the bloggers who have helped me along this tour, in case you didn't get to follow along.

  1. I am so glad you got your story out! And it seemed like a success with the blog tour. My favorite thing is reading the author interviews. Not the serious ones, but the down to earth ones.
