Wrapping It Up- Silenced Series Blog Tour

Wow, it's been an amazing month and an incredible blog tour. I want to thank each blogger who participated in the tour and made it an amazing experience for me and the followers. I want to give a special shout out to those who filled in when needed.

The Pink Bookshelf for the Excerpt and Review.
Kats Read for the Feature

You guys are amazing and I love you. Thank you for jumping in when I needed you, <3

For those who followed and commented, I really appreciate it. I wanted to see how successful the tour would be without a giveaway and I must say that it succeeded. I think this blog tour was a better turn out than any tour I had.

As an author, I dislike seeing each tour out there offering a giveaway. I think that if an author feels they need to do a giveaway, then their not really seeing who is there for the books or the prizes. So once again, thank you to those who followed my tour.

Blog Tour Stop for the Silenced Series (Day #28)

Welcome to my blog. It's great to see the Fans of Silenced stop on by at the home blog of the author who wrote the series. For this stop, we have an interview from a fan and their review. Enjoy!!!

Interview:

1 - Did you always want to be an author?
No I didn’t always want to be an author. I loved writing but it was more for me at first. My younger sister inspired me to continue with a short story I wrote in high school for an assignment. When I finished the story she told me I had talent for writing fiction and should really consider writing more stories.
2 - What inspired you to write?
As I said in the first question my younger sister started the inspiration for writing. Now everyday life inspires me.
3 - Why did you choose to write on this particular subject?
Depression is looked at as a condition that some people think isn’t serious. Some think cutting is an act of one trying to gain attention. But these are wrong. Depression and self harm are serious conditions. I think it’s time to stop hushing the subject and it’s time to start talking about it. Education on depression and self harm need put out there. People need to be aware. They need to know the warning signs. This could potentially save the live of a loved one when the subject isn’t hushed and people talk openly about it.
4 - What would be the one suggestion you would give to the people going through depression?
Never give up. You can overcome it and there are people out there that will listen. People want to help you. You are not alone. It’s not in your head and if you are starting to have suicidal thoughts... PLEASE talk to someone you trust.
5 - Is the next book going to be out soon? ;)
The Overtaking has been released. Readers can find it on Amazon in ebook form and in paperback.
6 - Are there any other books/series that you are working on?
Yes! I’m writing several different books. I'm about to publish the story of my daughter, Dakota and our journey to her becoming an angel.  Anther one I'm working on is a paranormal series. The others I’m just keeping to myself for now. It’s a while off before the others are ready to be put out there.
7 - What message would you like to give to our followers and readers?
I appreciate you taking the time to read this interview. I want to thank you all for your support. You’re the reason I write and I’m doing what I love. I wouldn’t be able to do it without you. Each and every person who has supported me and the future support system I will have ... You’re amazing.

Fan Review of Silenced:

Silenced follows the story of Amber Brown. For her life seems to be going down a downward spiral. She had to leave her town and move and on top of that she finds out that the person she called her father isn’t really her biological father. Overcome with depression and looking for a way out Amber does something that gives her an escape from all the pain and darkness. Silenced is a story that shows how depression affects a person and that it CAN be overcome. I found that I could connect with the story. Being a teenager is tougher than it was before. The pressure to do well, to score good grades, to have a good social life – is daunting. And going through all that while going through depression is harder. It doesn’t just go away and the fact that the author captured that in the book was amazing. The topic which the book is focused around is one of those close to my heart and it’s not something we should take lightly It gives an insight into the mind of a cutter... I think people need to read this book and get a perspective on what actually happens and how depression could ruin someone if it gets too far.

Let The Reviews Come In...

I sent out my book Saying Goodbye Without Saying Hello to several beta readers. I'm beginning to hear their feedback, and I am without a doubt impressed by the fact that this book has captured their hearts. I love that my intentions with the book is working. I wrote my story with the hope that people could feel the pain and understand a little about what I went through. Here are what others had to say:

"Saying Goodbye Without Saying Hello is a poignant read that shares the journey of the author her experience of a wonderful pregnancy ending abruptly with an unexpected turn; how her baby becomes an angel. This page-turning true story touched my heart as I learned how Mrs. Buda shares just how fragile life is."  ~Elizabeth Mueller, author of Baby's Breath YA fiction

"This is a journey no one wants to take, and no one should have to. But it happens and it always seems to happen to those that are good people. And for those that have not experienced anything like this, you should still give it a read. Your heart will break, you feel happy, you will find a bit of faith that everything is going to work out. If you have experienced something like this, you have to read it.  I believe it will help you with everything you are going through because someone has been through it. There is a light at the end of the tunnel even though it may not seem like it at first. Please go and pick up this book when it comes out."- Autumn Nauling

"Hold on tight as this author takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride through her journey of giving birth to her long anticipated, full term, forever sleeping baby girl. Raebeth Buda has masterfully written her story so that us; the readers can feel her every bit of her heartache and emotions from beginning to end. This book had me giggle, I felt the love and excitement that she had for Dakota while pregnant, I cried (a lot) but more than anything my heart ached for the Buda family and wished I could take every ounce of their pain away. No family should have to endure the loss of a stillborn but Raebeth's story is sure to reach out to those that may have experienced a loss like hers and teach them that there is a light and the darkness eventually will lift. The authors new found faith should be an inspiration to all no matter what life struggles you may face. This book is sure to tug at the heart strings of readers from all aspects of life. Rather you are mourning yourself, know someone who is or just looking for an excellent read that you won't be able to put down and a story that will stick with you long after you turn that last page; this book has something for everyone . A must read!!!" - Krissy Piper, Cousin of the Author

"Emotionally powerful story that has articulately captured the depth of trauma and emotion experienced when a family loses a child to stillbirth. RaeBeth Buda's powerful story will resonate with so many who have or will walk down this path. It also provides insight for others struggling with how to help when a friend or family members unborn baby dies."- Shauna Libsack; Star Legacy Foundation

Getting Out of My Comfort Zone

So many exciting things happened for me this week and they were A-MAZ-ING!!! I took a step outside of my comfort bubble and tried a few new things. I'm so grateful that I did. The first was doing my very first vlog. The reactions of you all completely amazed me and I'm so happy that I finally went against my fear and did it. It was really fun. As I have posted before, I'll be adding a new vlog every Wednesday for you all to enjoy.

The second thing I did was just yesterday. I had my first online radio appearance. The experience was great. I want to give a BIG thank you to Cat Robinson, the host of Wicked Naked at the Wicked Edge online radio show. The half an hour talk was very intense and I could tell how much I have touched her within that short time. I'm so thankful that I was invited and had a moment to try something new.

If you didn't get to listen in to the show, fear not... you can listen to it by clicking here. You will have another window pop up where I will keep all radio appearances listed on my website.
