Walking through Scripture

I have decided to expand here on the blog to include my faith. Normally, I only post things about my books or any news I have as an author. After a bit of thinking, that's sort of boring. My website does the same thing. So I asked myself, what can I do that's different from my website and not boring?

I've decided to add in Christ to my blog. So, yes this blog will continue to update you with all of my writings and snip-its of upcoming work. But you'll also be able to see my faith through, not only my books, but through my posts on the blog as well.

On the sidebar  ----------->

You will see a weekly scripture.

This scripture is the Bible verse I'm working to memorize for the week. I'd like to see my readers (who are interested) join me in learning these verses.

Why? You may ask.

Why not?

I believe that when we memorize Bible verses, we are preparing ourselves for life in the world. How can we face challenges in the world if we have no weapon to fight? The Bible is our weapon and the scripture within is our ammo. We need to fill up with ammo before we can join in the battle. Right?

So, are you with me?

If so, let me know in the comments below.

We'll memorize the verse displayed and a new one will be put up every Sunday.

Due to the fact that we have started this on a Friday, the current verse will be up until Sunday, March 29, 2015.

Once we get this going, I'll create a page for previous Bible verses that you can refer back to in the future.

**If you're unable to visit during the week, you can also subscribe to my newsletter which will include the weekly Bible verse. This way it will come directly in your inbox!!!

Don't forget to share so other's can join us in our walk through scripture.

Thank you for joining me.

Sincerely,

New Changes

After a bit of thinking and decision-making, I have decided to grow this blog into a bit more. I'm a Christian author and I believe that I can help those who come across, not only my books, but by my journey as a Christian. I'm in the process of writing another Memoir about my life as an adult. It's been a rough one, but through my trials I have learned a good bit. Therefore, I'll be doing some updating with this blog to not only include my books, but also small articles about my walk with Christ.

I'd love it if you enjoy the posts if you would subscribe to my blog via email. This way you don't miss a post.

Thank you.

Your opinion....please?

One of the new things I'll be trying out on this blog within the new year is.... short stories by the chapter.

I've been writing small tid bits of stories that I plan to elaborate on later on.

If I were to publish them chapter by chapter here on the blog, would you be interested in reading them?

(Teaser) The Guardian Angel

Please respect the authors work. Do not share or use in any way. This is for the readers who enjoy RaeBeth's work.

UNEDITED TEASER FOR THE GUARDIAN ANGEL

Oh, how I hated to ruin my family. I did not want to be the cause of their lives changing. It’s so unfair that I have to open them up to the ugliness of cancer.

“There’s no other way to say this, other than to come right out and tell you. So...” I begun, trying to keep my composure, which wasn’t working.

“You’re Mommy is sick.” Carson jumped in, helping me out.

“Oh, we can make you soup. You’ll feel better in no time.” Reed said, elbowing Rebecca, who agreed.

“Mommy is a little sicker than what soup can help.” I said carefully.

I wanted to say it right. How do I explain to a seven year old and an eight year old that their mother may be dying?

“I have what is known as cancer.” I said, as I noticed Lynn, Elizabeth, and Leah’s eyes widen with surprise. I knew they would understand that term.

“How bad?” Lynn asked.

“It’s not good. I have to see the doctor tomorrow.”

“The doctor can give you medicines to help you feel better. Then, Reed and me can make you soup. I think that is a great idea. Don’t you Reed?” Rebecca said hopeful.

I could not hold back the tears. How was I going to get them to understand that I didn’t have the common cold? I have cancer. Their beautiful little minds weren’t going to be able to grasp the severity of this situation.

“The type of sickness Mommy has, will take a lot out of her. She has to see the doctor tomorrow, so they can help fix her. She’s going to need a lot of medicine and we’ll have to help her out. The type of sickness Mommy has is called cancer.” Carson told the younger ones.

“Oh geez, it’s not that hard to say that you’re sick and could die!” Lynn yelled as tears ran down her face.

New Facebook Group

Due to Facebook hiding posts on my author page, I created a group for readers to join. This way you will have the ability to see ALL my posts. I'll keep up on both the page and the group. If you would like to join, please click here.

Title Help- What should I call my next book?

Hey readers,

I'm so glad you stopped by. I'm asking for the reading community to help me out. As we all know, I am going to be writing another non-fiction book based off of my experiences with pregnancy after loss. This is another part of my journey which means a lot to me. Therefore, I'm trying to figure out the perfect title for it. For those who don't know, a rainbow baby is the baby born after a loss. I'd love to some how put this into the title, however I'm not wanting a super long title for this book.

If you have an idea, please list it in the comments below.

These are a few I'm thinking of but they don't jump out at me as THE one...

Journey to Our Rainbow: Pregnancy After Loss

Pregnancy After Loss; Our Journey Through the Storm

My Journey to Our Rainbow

Thank you for taking the time to read this and a big thank you to the ones who chimed in with ideas last month when I asked this question on my author page.

Sincerely,
